Lorelei and Alex Gruss are renowned artists, and a couple breathing craft and design since 1987, creating exquisite Judaica, spiritual spaces and jewelry. Both are also very involved in the graffiti / mural/ urban Brooklyn art scene.

We will tour their home and studio, interact with their work, and together create personalized, meaningful amulets, designing a modern twist piece of jewelry using re-purposed materials.

We will delve into the history of amulet making from tribal times until today, and cover Jewish amulets and Kabbalah symbolism.

During this unique hands-on workshop Lorelei will inspire us to create our own amulet, incorporating different materials as well as personal meaningful components, such as a small handwritten parchment, a stone or any other tiny object with spiritual value you might choose to bring from home.

No design experience necessary. Space is limited and historically RJeneration partner events sell out.

A tool box, a work bench, metals and leather await you at Gruss Brooklyn studio.

The evening will start with light refreshments and end over wine.
