Sheynfeld grew up in Odessa, Ukraine, where she was classically trained to be a painter, sculptor and a puppet maker. After her family immigrated to the United States her role as a wandering Jew, an eternal wanderer often came up in her work.
In her previous series “Wandering Stars”, she used mixed medium on paper to achieve effects of transformation of being into the primordial chaos. Her models are merging into the background, becoming one with the universe, losing themselves between past and present.
