Miriam Stern is part of a group show called Sacred Spaces, Holy Places at Nails in the Wall Gallery at St. Lukes in Metuchen, NJ.

She is showing an installation called V’At Alit Al Kulana/And You Are Above All The Rest, which deals with gender segregated balconies in Orthodox synagogues. The installation raises questions about the continued use of these balconies today and what they mean to women and the society that uses them.

This installation was previously exhibited in the Jewish Art Salon exhibition titled Silent Witnesses at the Holocaust Memorial Center in Farmington Hills, MI.
