On Sunday April 10th, 2016 the gallery at CKI will re-open for the evening at 7 with cocktails/spirits and refreshments.
At 8 pm there will be a discussion with 10 of the the artists of the current exhibit Passover and the Consequences of Freedom. This show is curated by Richard McBee, and a collaboration with the Jewish Art Salon.
The discussion will be moderated by Sasha Stern, a curator with over a decade of experience working with art in both corporate and private collections.
Participating artists that night: Beth Heit, Richard McBee, Neil Kerman, Yitzchok Moully, Michal Nachmany, Dorene Schwartz-Weitz, Brian Shapiro, Joel Silverstein, Fred Spinowitz, and Rudi Wolff.
The panel will address the theme of the show – Passover and the Consequences of Freedom – and how the artists relate to that theme. Another question that will be addressed: the idea of making Jewish art and how that influences artistic practice.
