Call for Art: GOLEM, An Artist’s View

The Jewish Brooklyn Art Gallery at CKI is organizing a Golem-themed art exhibition, to take place in the Fall of 2017.

 

The gallery is housed in an old landmark synagogue in Prospect Heights (Brooklyn, NY).
The Gallery is looking for artists who created work with the theme “The Golem” for an exhibit in its historic facility, Congregation Kol Israel.
The exhibition will be curated by Shoshannah Brombacher.

Two-step exhibition application:

1) Fill out exhibition form here (one form for each proposed artwork):

2) Send images to Shoshannah Brombacher at shoshbm@gmail.com 

In the subject line: Golem. 

JPEGs should be no larger than 4 MB and have the name of the artist/title of the artwork.
Submission Deadline: July 25th, 2017. 

Artists are responsible for transporting their work back and forth and insurance. The artworks need to be ready to hang, with a wire in the back. Works on paper need to be framed. 

The exhibition will open Saturday, November 11 at 8 PM.

More details will be available later in June.

      Hi Jen,
      We are a volunteer organization without a webmaster. We update the site as often as we can, but the whole site is set up as a blog. Old posts stay up until someone volunteers to take them down. All our volunteers are busy with future projects for us, so old posts will stay up for a while longer.
