Curator, Genesis: The Beginning of Creativity
Abigail Meyer graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Boston University, where she earned a degree in art history. For nearly two decades, she was a head of department at a leading Judaica auction house in New York City, responsible for rare books, manuscripts, Holy Land travel maps, ceremonial and decorative objects and fine art.
As an independent fine-arts professional, Abigail now consults for museums, universities, research institutions and private collectors, advising them on purchases, appraisals, curation and collection management. She has been involved in exhibition curation as well as museum tours and education and lectures for adult audiences and schools on Jewish art history, material culture and decorative arts.
Abigail is one of the curators of the exhibition Genesis: The Beginning of Creativity, An Artistic Initiative of Jewish Art Salon in partnership with CARAVAN. The exhibition will take place in the Spring of 2023 at two venues in NYC. Venues TBA shortly.
