
The Jewish Art Salon is a global network for Jewish visual art. Established in 2008 and based in New York City, the JAS, a 501.c.3 nonprofit institution, has over 400 members and over 2,000 participants.
The Jewish Art Salon is a hub of contemporary artists and art professionals. It provides important programs and resources for their members and the general public, and develops lasting partnerships with the international art community, and other faith communities. It connects artists, curators, and the public through programs that emphasize long-term dialogue and conversation
The Jewish Art Salon has organized over 70 events: 40 art exhibitions, workshops and 30 interactive events exploring contemporary Jewish themes, related to current issues, reflecting popular interests and broader societal issues.
In the New York area it hosts occasional in-person salon sessions with international artists and scholars. Since 2020 it organizes monthly online sessions where artists and curators present their artwork and generate discussions with the viewers.
Through its exhibitions, events and collaborations in the US, Europe and Israel, JAS reached approximately 10,000 individuals in 2022 and over 50,000 since its inception.

History In 2008, Yona Verwer and Holly Wolf launched the Jewish Art Salon to create a forum for dialogue and shared experiences between artists and scholars. Today, the Jewish Art Salon functions as a vital resource, authority and platform for the global art community and the general public. It is assisted by an international team of volunteers.
