Boros, Gabriella

Gabriella Boros is a multi-media artist born in Israel to Holocaust survivors. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Art (’83).

Boros has exhibited extensively both nationally and internationally in venues such as the European Courts in Luxembourg, Columbia University Museum (NYC), Tychman Spier Gallery (Minneapolis), and at Harold Washington Library (Chicago).

Her many solo exhibits include her woodblock prints at Old Town Triangle Gallery in Chicago (Dec 7, 2014- Jan 20, 2015) and paintings at Chicago’s Rivendell Theater. In 2012, she showed her acrylic paintings on wood and paper at the South Shore Arts Center (Beverly, Indiana). In 2011, she curated an international exhibit of artists along with her own works with her Stone Project at Substation No. 9 in Munster, Indiana. Her “Ten Commandments” woodblock prints will hang at the Interfaith Biennial of Dominican University until 2017.

Gabriella was the first place winner in Benedictine University’s Tiny Cameras in 2013. She won the Pen and Sword competition for inspiring a playwright with her paintings Medieval 1and 2, in 2012 and she was the Featured Artist at the Beverly Art Center in 2008.
