Beyond Borders – Siona Benjamin at ACA Galleries, NY
Siona Benjamin’s first exhibition at ACA Galleries will feature her recent work from the Exodus Series. Currently on her second Fulbright Fellowship in Israel, her new work will be the subject of this show. Opening Reception: March 9, 2017, 6-8 pm Catalogue available.

Born in Mumbai, India, Siona Benjamin grew up in a Jewish community among a complex montage of Eastern and Western religions. Informed by the world around her Siona Benjamin’s work has a transcultural appeal.
A solo exhibition from the Exodus series was on view at the Opalka Gallery in Albany, NY (August 23–October 9, 2016) and will travel to the Peninsular Jewish Community Center in Foster City, CA in September 2017.
The documentary film Blue Like Me:The Art of Siona Benjamin was recently released and shown at numerous film festivals across the United States.

The Jewish Art Salon (JAS) is a 501.c.3 non-profit organization. It is a global network of contemporary visual artists and art professionals.
