The Main Street Gallery is an exhibit space designed by Sol LeWitt and in which are shown art works with Jewish themes, by Jewish artists, that relate to the Beth Shalom Rodfe Zedek community, or that educate the viewers on a topic of concern. All exhibits are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The exhibits are up for three months, and artists are responsible for transportation of their work to and from the CBSRZ gallery. In some case you may be able to send the works by FedEx or UPs with a pre-paid return address label. In that case the gallery would unpack your work and pack it up afterwards.

The gallery requires a donation of 35% of all work sold during the show.

They have a professional in charge of media contacts and mail and/or email press releases to media and institutions throughout the state (of CT). They will promote the event and do a mailing which can include the artist’s guest list.

Should the exhibiting artist request and underwrite the cost, they are happy to arrange an opening event at CBSRZ. These opening receptions must be open to the public at no charge.

The gallery has two professional installers who are willing to work independently or with the artist. CBSRZ does not carry insurance that would cover these exhibits, although they have taken out insurance riders in a very few cases.

If interested, fill out your name, website etc. here.

Eligibility: current Jewish Art Salon member.
