The Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center (SYJCC) invites artists to participate in an exhibition:
Hang Your Mezuzah! – A Celebration of Jewish Identity Through Art
For over 40 years, the SYJCC has been the Center of the Community, enriching lives across Suffolk County through social, recreational, and educational programs rooted in Jewish values. Now, we’re proud to launch a curated art exhibition that invites you to explore and express Jewish identity in creative and personal ways.
This special exhibition will be curated by Bat-Sheva Slavin, acclaimed artist, and curator of the Alan & Helen Jewish Discovery Museum (Commack) and the Rabbi Ario S. & Tess Hayme Judaica Museum (Roslyn).
We’re calling on artists to submit original works that reflect the spirit, symbolism, and personal meaning behind your one-of-a-kind mezuzah. Whether traditional or contemporary, abstract or literal — your voice matters.

Deadline: Monday, September 14, 2025
We look forward to celebrating your creativity and Jewish heritage together.
