A native of Toronto and now based in San Francisco, CA, Elyssa Wortzman is a graduate of McGill University (Montreal), Lev Shomea (Jewish Spiritual Direction, NY) and private studios in France.
Wortzman has exhibited in solo and group shows in New York and Toronto (De Leon White Gallery, Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition). She co-curated “Spiritual Defense” for The Creative Soul/Jewish Artist Salon (Brooklyn, 2014).
Wortzman’s joint exhibition with Andrea Guerra at the Jewish Library in San Francisco will open in May 2015.
Wortzman was a member of the first cohort of artists-in-residence at Art Kibbutz: The Jewish Waltz With Mother Earth, 2013 and has received commissions from The Academy for Jewish Religion, Federation of Jewish Mens’ Clubs, and The Jewish Community Center of Harrison.
