The Jewish Art Salon (JAS) is a 501.c.3 non-profit organization. It is a global network of contemporary visual artists and art professionals. Established in 2008 and based in New York City, JAS has over 400 members and over 2,000 participants.  Through its 60+ shows, events and collaborations in the US, Europe and Israel, JAS has reached approximately 30,000 individuals since its inception. JAS provides important programs and resources, and develops lasting partnerships with the international art community and the general public.

    I do not envy the meat worker, too much their eyes see, too much their ears have heard… how could this not affect your mind? I grew near farms that raised pigs for slaughter and to hear their screams, it still hunts me. Sadly, the meat industry has so much power and they do not want the public to see what goes on. I think sometimes, it feels like a battle we must win, but also at times it seems unreachable, because people do not want to upset themselves with too much truth, they rather believe meat comes from the freezer aisle in a grocery store, not from sentient beings. The thing is I understand being on both sides, it is a war in my mind, a terrible feeling.
