Artist’s Description:
New Trees is part of my “Ritual Series” of collage work depicting ways my family celebrates Jewish Festivals and holidays or life-cycle events. Amid the lush botanical motifs using paper cutouts, ephemera and fabric that relates to Tu B’Shevat in how we become stewards of the natural environment, the ritual of planting a sapling tree soon after arriving to the State of Israel on a family trip is illustrated within the artwork.
