The newly released book on Itshak Holtz (1925–2018) offers a profound and intimate exploration of Jewish life through the eyes of one of the most notable Jewish artists of the 20th century.
Written by Richard McBee, a well-respected critic and scholar of Jewish art, and Founding Member of the Jewish Art Salon, the book not only showcases Holtz’s contributions but also offers a scholarly analysis of his artistic journey.
McBee traces Holtz’s development, from his early life in Warsaw and Jerusalem to his formal education in New York at the Art Students League and the National Academy of Design.
