Goldie Gross – Ketubah

This Ketubah, which was written and painted by the artist, was inspired by an 1868 Haggadah from Kolkata.


Goldie Gross is an artist whose paintings center on themes of identity, antisemitism, and humor. Her ritual objects draw inspiration from sources including Hebrew illuminated manuscripts, Persian miniature paintings, and all manner of paintings on parchment. She received her MA in Art History from the Institute of Fine Arts at NYU, and her BA from Baruch College in Art & Business.
