David Wander, a New York based artist, is a contemporary American tonalist. He is known for his serene but intensely colored landscapes inspired by the real scenery of his American homeland and his extensive travels abroad. Wander is also known for his contemporary drawings from the Book Of Jonah, Eicha, Ruth, The Haggadah in Memory of the Holocaust, and Joseph and the coat. His fresco style works-on-paper pay homage to the biblical story, while adding Wander’s own psychological and spiritual insights and interpretations.
