Born in 1972 and based in Columbus, OH, Stacy Leeman is a graduate of Oberlin College and Rutgers University.
Leeman has exhibited extensively including solo and group show in New York City, Detroit, Philadelphia, Venice and Columbus.
Stacy Leeman has received Donni Dingman Memorial Award in 2013 from the Delapaine Visual Arts and Education Center, 2nd place at the 77th Midyear Exhibition at the Butler Institute in 2013, 2nd place at the 3rd annual Exhibition at the Fayetteville Technical Community College, two artists grants from Vermont Studio Center (2002, and 2013) and an arts in community grant from the Greater Columbus Arts Council.
Stacy Leeman is represented by the Sharon Weiss Gallery in Columbus and the Water Street Gallery in Douglas, Michigan.
Selected solo exhibitions include
“Vermont Stories” September 2012 at Sharon Weiss Gallery and “Upstream” at the Goldberg Gallery at the Leo Yassenoff JCC in 2009. Selected group exhibitions include Take 10, in 2014 at the Water Street Gallery, the 77th Midyear Exhibition in 2013 at the Butler Institute of Art, and Silent Witnesses: Migration Stories through Synagogues Transformed, Rebuilt or Left Behind, Holocaust Memorial Center, Detroit, MIchigan.
