Call for Art: Barcelona Am Israel JAI Exhibition

GUIDELINES FOR AM ISRAEL JAI ART EXHIBITION

(Third party invitation, not affiliated with the Jewish Art Salon)

Be part of a unique celebration of Jewish resilience, joy and creativity. Read on to discover how you can participate in this meaningful art exhibition. 

Purpose of the Exhibition:

  • To spread the values of Judaism in the face of adversity.
  • To express the strength, joy and resilience of the Jewish people.

Exhibition Dates:
 From June 5th, 2025 to August 30th, 2025.
 The opening event (vernissage) will take place on June 5th, 2025, with the expected participation of the artists, local personalities, and related activities (music, Israeli dance).
 Opening venue: To be confirmed.
 Application deadline: May 20th, 2025.

Accepted Media and Formats:

  • Paintings in any technique
  • Photography
  • Printed digital art
  • Digital Art for screen display
  • Format: maximum size 80 x 80 cm, minimum size at artist’s discretion
    Small format sculptures (up to 30 x 30 cm)
  •  All works must be original, unpublished, and not previously exhibited.
  •  Artworks must be properly framed or presented in a way suitable for exhibition.

Final inclusion in the exhibition is subject to selection by the organizing committee, based on space and thematic considerations.

Participants:
 Open to any individual over 18 years of age, without restrictions.
 Each artist may submit one (1) artwork.
 Participation is subject to approval by the advisory and organizing committee.  You will get a confirmation after your registration.

Final acceptance will be communicated within 5 days after submission of the original artwork.

Deadlines:

  • Registration: Until May 20th, 2025
    Delivery of artworks for exhibition: Until May 23th, 2025
  • Artwork pickup: Within 5 business days after the exhibition closes
  •  Artists can include a prepaid label, the organization will pack the artwork back in the /original box (unless sold) and arrange UPS or DHL to pick it up.

Artworks not collected by the deadline will be considered abandoned.

Artwork Delivery:
 Artworks must be delivered properly packaged to the exhibition venue, and must be collected within 7 days after the end of the exhibition.
 All costs related to creation, shipping, packaging, and return of artworks are the responsibility of the artist.

Recognition:

  • Honorable mentions will be awarded to selected artworks, with reasons stated.
  • A diploma certifying participation will be given to all artists.
  • Jury decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
  • Honorable mentions will be announced on the exhibition’s closing day at 6:00 PM.

Image, Exhibition Rights:
 All rights are reserved by the organizers of the exhibition.All profits will be donated to Jewish charitable organizations. Please specify the percentage you will donate (50% or 100%) out of the sale of your art.

Legal Notice:
By participating in this exhibition and submitting their work, artists agree to do so at their own risk. The organizers will take all reasonable precautions to safeguard the artworks during the exhibition; however, they are not responsible for loss, damage, deterioration, or any unforeseen incidents affecting the artworks.

 At the end of the exhibition, artists will have five (5) business days to collect their work. After this period, the organizers will not be responsible for storage or return of the artwork.

 Participation implies acceptance of this notice, releasing the organizers from liability related to handling, transportation, storage, or any related processes, to the extent allowed by Spanish law.
 Artists are advised to secure appropriate insurance for their works. Personal data will be handled in accordance with data protection regulations.
