The Heller Museum at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, NYC, is in the process of planning an exhibit for September through December 2025.
Children of Ruth: Artists Choosing Judaism will possibly be a first ever exhibition by artists who have chosen to join the Jewish People.
If you are such an artist, you are invited to submit work for consideration in the show.
Knowing that the experiences of people who have chosen Judaism are diverse, they leave the choice of kind of representation up to you, in the hope it will both express your unique and profound experience and educate and illuminate aspects of it for the public.
Deadline to submit: Work will be considered for acceptance in January 2025 and news of acceptance will be sent to artists by the beginning of February 2025. The official opening of this show will be in September 2025.
All work must be in the museum ready to be installed by the first week of July 2025. The artist is responsible for all shipping/delivery costs.
