The story of the Jewish people is a mosaic made up of thousands of tales, including the Torah, Talmud, midrash, folktales, and parables. Each generation uncovers new connections and meanings in the narratives that shape our history and traditions. Today, one of the most compelling visual storytellers to take up this mantle is David Wander. Known for his distinctive artistic style, Wander seamlessly blends the expressive brushwork of Vincent van Gogh with the bold surrealism of James Ensor, while infusing the dynamic energy of Marvel and DC comics.
The Central Synagogue invites you to a public celebration of David Wander – Jewish Tales to hear from the artist himself, enjoy light refreshments, and explore Wander’s vibrant, fresh, and captivating perspective on the stories of our people.
