PoliticoPopUp2 showcases the work of over 40 artists, with strong political leanings, from New Orleans and all over the country.
PoliticoPopUp2 – An art happening of Photography, Painting, Sculpture, Video, Live Music, Spoken Word, Poetry, Artist Talks, and community art making. Over 40 artists from New Orleans, the country, and the world. Curated by the Catalyst Collective New Orleans, Leona Strassberg Steiner.
PoliticoPopUp2 was conceived specifically for artists who create political art without an outlet to have their work seen by the public, because of political or social content. The PoliticoPopUp2 art happening includes photography, painting, sculpture, multi media work, printmaking, video, live music, spoken word, and poetry readings.
Dorit Jordan Dotan, multidisciplinary artist, was born in 1961, in Haifa, Israel. Jordan-Dotan has recently relocated to Chicago, where she lives and works.
For the past twenty years, she has run her own independent graphic design studio.
