Ariel Blitz

Ariel Blitz is an arts administrator and curator based in Chicago. Currently, she serves as Administrative Director at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC).

Previously, Ariel held positions as a curatorial fellow at MoBY: Museums of Bat Yam, and as an assistant curator for the ‘Second Hand’ exhibition at the PHOTOIS:RAEL photography festival.

More recently, she has collaborated with the curatorial team at the FRONT International: Cleveland Triennial for Contemporary Art.

Ariel holds a Master of Arts in Arts Administration and Policy from SAIC, where she completed her thesis titled ‘Bridging the Gap: The Jewish Museum and the Exploration of Identity Through Contemporary Art,’ which focuses on the necessity of the support and exhibition of contemporary Jewish art specifically within the context of larger Jewish institutions.
