Faigie Roth will be joining the Jewish Art Salon in January 2017. She will take on various responsibilities, including maintaining an artist database as well as researching Jewish organizations for possible collaboration on future projects.

Faigie looks forward to learning about the stimulating programs and the myriad of artists who are perpetuating a novel approach to Contemporary art through the exploration of Jewish iconography, philosophy and identity.

Faigie will bring her background in public arts administration and her passion for Jewish art to the Jewish Art Salon.

Faigie was introduced to J.A.S. through her Holocaust Memorial Committee role at Congregation Ahavas Achim, Highland Park, NJ. She was successful in selecting an artist, after the Jewish Art Salon created a “Call to artists” for the specific memorial project.  Faigie spearheaded the memorial efforts and was active in reviewing and approving art proposals, memorial budgets and was successful in presenting and having a formal proposal approved by the Congregation’s board of directors.

She is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Master’s degree in Art History.
