Excerpts
…. “In the weeks that followed, as anti-Semitic incidents on the streets of New York and around the world increased, Verwer, along with curator Judith Joseph, realized that it was time to denounce this anti-Jewish hatred once and for all by organizing an exhibition on the subject. The two women then contacted Ronit Levin Delgado, the Israeli artist and member of the Jewish Art Salon who had been heavily involved in several pro-Israel art initiatives.”
Together, Verwer, Joseph, and Delgado approached 81 Leonard Gallery curators Nancy Pantirer and Hannah Rothbard to request this Tribeca gallery as the venue for their show.
