The Bridge – Caravan exhibit opens at The Church of Saint-Germain-Des-Pres in Paris
In the wake of the terrorist tragedy in Paris, France, CARAVAN announces its upcoming interfaith peace-building art exhibition titled THE BRIDGE that will open in Paris at the oldest church in Paris.
Siona Benjamin will be exhibiting Bridging Pardes, a gouache with mixed media and 22 K gold leaf on wood panel.
In the midst of the present chasm of discord and misunderstanding that exists between the Middle East and the West, and between Christians, Muslims and Jews, the 7th CARAVAN Exhibition of Visual Art titled The Bridge will open in Paris, France at the historic Church of Saint Germain des Prés in the Latin Quarter, the oldest church in Paris, on 2 February 2015 to commemorate the United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week and run through 28 February.
Through the founding sponsorship of SODIC from Egypt, The Bridge is an unparalleled gathering of 47 Arab, Persian and Jewish premier contemporary visual artists of Christian, Muslim and Jewish religious backgrounds focusing on what they hold in common. Organized and curated by CARAVAN, a multi-religious group, the artists in The Bridge are making the case for using that which we have in common as the foundation for the future of our world.
