Adele Shtern in Shangri-la, L.I.C

AdeleLong Island City, New York: L.I.C. Arts Open festival, now in its 5th year, announces Shangri-la in L.I.C. Artists/curators John Baber and Miguel Luciano join efforts for this month long exhibition, highlighting a myriad of works including sculpture, painting, installation, and photography from over 70 visual artists with ties to the borough of Queens.

Adele Shtern is participating in the exhibit.

May 14 – June 14, 2015: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday: 12 – 5pm. Closed Memorial Day Weekend.

Shangri-la will become a cultural destination for its duration in Long Island City, inviting collaborations between dancers, performance and visual artists, poets, and musicians. It is an experimental lab operating outside of the confines of a white cube or museum. Much like the grass roots vibe of the festival, the roster of artists keeps growing as well as events soon to be announced.
