Rebuild With Love
–נבנה על ידי אהבה
נשוב להבנות, והעולם עמנו יבנה, על ידי אהבת חנם
Applications are due by January 8, 2025.
Applications to serve as the Artist-in-Residence at National Havurah Committee’s 2025 Summer Institute are now open! Summer Institute is a week-long intergenerational gathering known for serious study, moving prayer, spirited conversation, late-night jam sessions, singing, dancing, and meditation – all in the company of people from a wide range of backgrounds.
Residents play an important role in the Summer Institute. The Artist in Residence will teach a course composed of four 90-minute classes (morning or afternoon). In addition to their course, Artists in Residence work with the planning committee on community-wide programming, and help to bring this summer’s theme to life throughout the Institute. This might take the form of programming for the Kids’ Camp, an evening program, or a collaborative community art project. Residents receive free registration, a $1000 stipend, and travel expenses in addition to getting to participate in all that Institute has to offer.
This year’s theme is “Rebuild with Love.” We’re especially looking for submissions that touch on the theme and lead participants to think about rebuilding, about resilient listening, about wholeheartedness, about the cracks where the lights come in, and above all, of inclusive welcoming of everyone where they are, and with all the gifts they have to offer, including the gift of simply showing up and being present, with their whole selves.
Artist-in-Residence
