Born in 1984 in St. Louis, MO and based in Pardes Chana, Israel, Tanya Fredman is a graduate of Brandeis University and HaMidrasha Art School, Israel.

Fredman has exhibited her paintings and fabric collages in solo and group shows in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, New York, and St. Louis.

Selected solo exhibitions include

“Into the Light” June-September 2013, at PICO Gallery, Jerusalem, and “Art of Seeing” December 2010-February 2011, at Jewish Education Project, New York, NY.

Selected group exhibitions:

“Graduation Show” September-October 2014, at HaYarkon 19 Gallery, Tel Aviv, “Sound of Many Waters” November 2013, at the Bible Lands Museum, Jerusalem, and “In the Place We Live” August 2011, at M55 Gallery, Queens, NY.

Awards and Prizes:

The New York Foundation of the Arts Fiscal Sponsorship (2010-2011) and the Deborah Josepha Cohen Memorial Award in Fine Arts (2008).

Fredman also directs communal art projects and teaches art to at-risk youth at the Yemin Orde Youth Village, Israel.
